Jonathan Marsh

Jonathan Marsh is a photographer currently studying at the School of Art and Design at Nottingham Trent University. He has been interested and working in photography for 7 years and has had several large commissions including working for the Conservative Party during the 2010 General Election, the design for the 2008 Salisbury International Arts Festival brochure cover as well as working for the Royal Bank of Scotland Group.

He had his first solo exhibition as part of the 2008 Salisbury International Arts Festival in 2008; since then he has had his work exhibited at the Surface Gallery, Nottingham in 2009, ‘ 1874’ exhibition at the Arts Organisation, Nottingham in 2010, and in 2011 will be exhibiting in ‘ XV’ the 15th Annual Photography Degree Festival.

In his projects he has explored documentary as well as landscape photography as can be seen in the Gallery. Embarking on long-term projects on the impossibility of modern wilderness and of the precarious position of modern democracy.
